About the Role:
ACT Pathology is a division of Canberra Health Services, with laboratories located at both Canberra Hospital and North Canberra Hospital operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. Collection Centres are also located across several community sites. ACT Pathology provides diagnostic and consultative services to medical specialists and general practitioners and their patients in both hospital and community settings. As major infrastructure programs continue across both hospital campuses, including planning for a new laboratory, this is an exciting time to be part of a service that is evolving to support contemporary healthcare delivery. The Mortuary is routinely staffed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, with occasional requirements to work outside standard hours.
The successful applicant will be a motivated and proactive professional who is committed to delivering high-quality customer service and fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture. They will provide leadership within the team while actively supporting and promoting Canberra Health Services values and contributing to a vibrant and engaged work environment. The role requires the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, with a high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. The successful applicant will also demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, responding effectively to changing priorities and delivering services that meet the evolving needs of clients.
