We are seeking a friendly, energetic and customer focused individual to join our team as a Casual Event Receptionist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys creating positive experiences for guests and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing incoming telephone enquiries and email correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
Welcoming and assisting guests, visitors and clients with a high standard of customer service, ensuring an exceptional experience at every interaction.
Providing general administrative and reception support to the team.
Maintaining a professional, organised and efficient reception environment.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the successful delivery of events and daily operations.
Assisting patrons with cash to card transactions, as Brisbane Entertainment Centre is a cashless venue, by issuing cash cards to guests who wish to use cash during their visit.

Be committed to delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for all guests and visitors.

Have previous reception or customer service experience, including managing enquiries via telephone, email and face to face interactions.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident and professional telephone manner.
Thrive in a fast paced environment and have the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Be adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic event environment where priorities can change quickly.
Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Be able to take direction, follow procedures, and work independently when required.
Be confident using computer systems and handling administrative tasks.
Have flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in line with our busy event schedule.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Built by the Brisbane City Council as a world class multipurpose facility, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre formed part of Brisbane's bid for the 1992 Olympic Games. The Centre has been operated since its inception by Legends Global (formerly ASM Global and AEG Ogden Brisbane Pty Ltd). Ownership was transferred to Stadiums Queensland (formerly Major Sports Facilities Authority) from 1 July 2002.

The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has hosted a diverse range of events including Monster Trucks, Supercross, Circuses, Bull Riding, Concerts, Conventions, School Speech Nights, Ice Spectaculars, Wrestling and Boxing.

Primarily recognised as a venue to host concerts, family shows and sporting events, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre also specialises in staging corporate events in particular conferences, seminars, product launches and gala banquets.
