Karellas Investments, trading as Supamart, are looking for an experienced Supermarket Retail Managers to oversee store operations, stock management, customer service, compliance, and team leadership. In this role, you will work across all departments within the supermarket—including Grocery, Deli, Produce, Meat, Dairy, and Freezer—ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining high store standards.

The Role

Karellas Investments, trading as Supamart, are seeking experienced Supermarket Retail Managers to oversee store operations, with a focus on stock management, customer service, compliance, and team leadership. You will work across various departments—Grocery, Deli, Produce, Meat, Dairy, and Freezer—adapting to business needs and ensuring smooth operations while maintaining high store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock & Inventory Management – Monitor and maintain stock levels across all supermarket departments (Grocery, Deli, Produce, Meat, Dairy, Freezer) to ensure product availability and minimise waste.
Product Mix – Ensure the right balance of products across all store sections to meet customer demand and maximise profitability.
Customer Service – Lead by example to provide an exceptional customer experience and resolve any customer concerns.
Compliance & OH&S – Ensure all staff adhere to health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Systems & Technology – Proficiency in EMC and ABCis systems, as well as Tanda Employment Software for workforce management.
Budgeting & Financials – Manage store budgets, control expenses, and meet financial targets.
Training & Leadership – Train, supervise, and develop staff to maintain operational excellence and high team morale.
Store Presentation & Merchandising – Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing store layout.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination – Work with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and promotional planning.
Roster Management – Oversee staff scheduling to optimise productivity and ensure appropriate coverage.
Loss Prevention – Monitor stock shrinkage and implement measures to minimise theft and wastage.
Sales & Promotions – Execute promotional campaigns and pricing strategies to drive sales.

About You:

Previous experience in supermarket or grocery retail management.
Strong understanding of stock control, pricing, and supplier negotiations.
Knowledge of EMC, ABCis, and Tanda Employment Software.
Experience managing store budgets and financial targets.
A leader with excellent team management and training skills.
Strong understanding of supermarket policies, OH&S regulations, and compliance requirements.
Ability to handle a fast-paced retail environment with a customer-first approach.
Requires formal qualification and at least 12 months relevant work experience
