Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Services (EDFCS), is an integral member of Executive Management Team and provides strategic, enterprise and adaptive leadership for the organisation’s finances and corporate services functions, including Finance, Facilities and Procurement, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Data and Reporting and Administration.
The EDFCS will ensure that all internal and external governance accountabilities relating to the organisation’s finances, systems, IT, quality, and risk management are met, timely and of a high standard, including reporting to the Board of Directors.
Working with data and evidence to ensure the sustainability and growth of NRCH, the EDFCS plays a proactive leadership role in in-depth reviews and analysis of community and clinical services, driving improvements to ensure NRCH continues to provide innovative and transformative services focused on health equity, accessibility and inclusivity.
As a role model of the organisational values, the EDFCS provides constructive, collaborative and respectful leadership to NRCH people, partners and stakeholders.
Executive Director - Finance and Corporate Services Position Description
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have senior leadership experience and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance. This will be underpinned by tertiary qualifications in finance and/or business. A CPA/CA accreditation will be highly regarded.
You thrive in leading change across an organisation, and your future-focused approach will be seen in the way you proactively identify opportunities and risks and drive continuous improvements to enhance organisational sustainability and effectiveness. You are an energetic, reflective and resilient leader who is proud to play a part in enhancing our strong and inclusive organisational culture. You know how to lead and develop managers to perform at their best, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance.
You are an engaging and influential communicator who builds strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. Flexible and adaptable, you are equally comfortable working with Program Managers and a Board of Directors.
You can shape financial strategy, oversee organisation-wide budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and provide the analysis and advice that supports sound strategic decisions.
Taking a business partnering approach, you can distil complex financial and organisational information into clear, strategic narratives to improve financial awareness across the organisation.
You would be well served in this role by experience in the health/not for profit sector and knowledge and understanding of Public Health systems, including prior experience working Department of Health.
