- A collaborative team that is changing how organisations are governed
- A dynamic environment that will give you the opportunity to grow your career
- An energetic and supportive culture that puts people first
Help major Financial Services organisations strengthen governance, risk and compliance while navigating complex enterprise change.
Tackle big issues like cyber, trust, resilience and digital transformation
Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
This is a Melbourne-based hybrid opportunity for a Manager to join our Risk and Regulatory team, helping clients respond to evolving regulation, protect stakeholder trust and deliver change with confidence.
What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you'll advise clients on governance, risk, controls and compliance frameworks, with a focus on how these need to evolve as organisations transform. That could mean shaping operating models across the Three Lines of Defence, supporting responses to emerging regulatory priorities, or helping clients work through complex issues like operational resilience, third party risk and data risk management.
A big part of your work will involve turning complexity into clear, practical action. You'll manage engagements, guide junior team members, and present insights and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders. The work has real visibility, especially when clients are balancing regulatory expectations, business priorities and the interests of customers, employees and the community.
Working closely with colleagues across Deloitte, you'll be part of project teams that combine industry insight, data and digital capability to deliver differentiated advice. Alongside client delivery, you'll help grow the practice by contributing to business development, building relationships in the market, and supporting the development of people around you.
About the team
Our Risk and Regulatory team works with some of Australia's largest and most influential organisations to strengthen governance, risk, compliance and control frameworks, and to manage the risk and regulatory impacts of major change. In Melbourne, the team supports large-scale transformation programs for iconic Victorian and national brands, while also drawing on the reach of the Deloitte Asia Pacific network to bring global insight into local client challenges.
Enough about us, let's talk about you
You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:
Experience advising on governance, risk, controls and regulatory matters, ideally within Financial Services
Strong understanding of how large organisations operate, with the commercial judgement to navigate complex stakeholder environments
Experience leading workstreams or projects involving enterprise risk, compliance, operational resilience, business continuity, third party risk or data risk
Ability to analyse information, draw out meaningful insights and turn them into clear recommendations, reports or presentations
Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
Experience leading teams, mentoring others and creating a strong project environment
Exposure to transformation work such as operating model redesign, restructuring, merger or demerger, or risk and regulatory transformation
Prior consulting or professional services experience would be valuable
