World Gym Underwood sits in one of Logan's fastest-growing corridors, just off the Pacific Motorway and around 20km south of Brisbane CBD - easy to get to and easy to build a local member base around. Underwood Marketplace and Underwood Central are right on the doorstep, giving your team (and members) easy access to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and everyday conveniences before or after a session, with plenty of free parking on offer too.
This large, well-equipped facility features an expansive gym floor, dedicated strength and functional training zones, a Supps Bar and café, retail offering, and on-site parking - all designed to impress members from the moment they walk through the doors.
We're seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Facility Manager to lead this exciting location. As the most senior leader on site, you will oversee the gym, retail, café and Supps Bar operations, driving performance, profitability, and a seamless member journey across the entire facility.
Leading a Club Manager and a Retail & Reception Manager, you'll inspire a high-performing team that delivers strong operations and a culture aligned with World Gym's values.
This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. You'll take ownership of financial performance, operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement - while creating a destination where members love to train and teams love to work.

We are looking for someone with:
Qualifications & Certifications
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in multi-department leadership, preferably in fitness, hospitality, retail, or service industries.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, payroll oversight, and operational planning.
- Track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing leadership teams.
- Experience driving revenue growth, membership sales, retail performance, or customer retention initiatives.
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement strategies that improve commercial and operational outcomes.
- Sound understanding of WHS compliance and risk management obligations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for delivering exceptional member experiences and building strong community engagement.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and service excellence.
- Oversee all day-to-day operations across the gym, retail, creche, group fitness and member services to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Take ownership of the facility’s financial performance, including budgeting, revenue growth, payroll oversight and expense management.
- Analyse performance metrics to drive continuous improvement across membership, retail and service delivery.
- Champion initiatives that enhance the member journey, increase retention and strengthen community engagement.
- Drive local marketing initiatives and oversee the club’s social media presence to grow brand awareness and engagement.
- Ensure full compliance with WHS, childcare regulations and company policies, maintaining the highest safety and operational standards.
