The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data and Insights Analyst to join a high-performing Customer Lifecycle Management and Customer Intelligence team based in Sydney.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys uncovering the story behind the data rather than simply reporting numbers. You will play a key role in analysing customer, campaign, and business performance data to generate actionable insights that improve marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and commercial outcomes.

Working closely with marketing, customer, product, finance, and business stakeholders, you will help drive data-informed decision making through analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Source, prepare, analyse, and interpret data from multiple systems and platforms to support customer, marketing, and business initiatives.
Measure campaign performance, personalised offers, and customer lifecycle programs to assess business impact and effectiveness.
Identify trends, patterns, risks, opportunities, and key drivers within complex datasets.
Investigate root causes behind performance outcomes and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations that support customer and business objectives.
Develop dashboards, scorecards, visualisations, and reporting solutions that enable self-service analytics.
Present insights and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Assess and improve existing reporting frameworks, metrics, and analytical processes.
Partner closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenge assumptions through data-driven analysis.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting and analytical activities.
Support the continuous improvement of reporting frameworks, measurement methodologies, and analytics capabilities.
Collaborate across teams including Product, Marketing, Finance, BI, and Customer Analytics to maintain consistency of reporting and KPIs.
Participate in planning discussions and provide analytical support for strategic business initiatives.

What You'll Need

Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Insights Analyst, Marketing Analyst, Customer Analyst, or similar role.
Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, modelling, and data analysis techniques.
Strong experience using BI and visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
Strong SQL skills and experience working within database-driven environments.
Experience analysing customer, campaign, marketing, commercial, or operational data.
Experience building dashboards, scorecards, performance reporting, and interactive visualisations.
Ability to transform complex datasets into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor insights for different audiences including executives.
Experience working with data warehouses and cloud-based data platforms such as Teradata, AWS, or similar technologies.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative analytical skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and high-performing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Experience with campaign analytics, customer management, or decisioning platforms such as SAS, Pega, or similar technologies is highly regarded.
Experience within Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM), Customer Intelligence, Marketing Analytics, CRM, or Customer Insights environments is highly regarded.
Telecommunications industry experience is highly regarded.
