Full Job Description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to establish, develop and lead our sales and marketing activities in Australia and support our broader APAC and Oceania growth strategy. This is a senior, strategic position responsible for Australian market development, commercial planning and coordination across sales, marketing, product development and supply functions.

Key responsibilities

· Direct the development and implementation of sales strategies and set sales targets to maximise sales performance and customer loyalty in Australia.

· Direct the development and implementation of marketing strategies that promote the company’s furniture products and services in the Australian market.

· Direct strategies that strengthen brand image, brand recognition and customer loyalty across Australian sales channels.

· Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain the organisation’s reputation with customers, commercial partners and the wider market.

· Set sales plans, budgets, forecasts, market priorities, channel strategies and performance targets in alignment with the company’s APAC and Oceania objectives.

· Plan and direct market-entry and growth initiatives, including analysis of customer segments, distribution channels, competitors and commercial opportunities.

· Lead strategic key-account planning and senior commercial negotiations with major retail and distribution partners.

· Coordinate with product development, design, sourcing and production teams to align the product offering with Australian market requirements.

· Monitor sales performance, customer pipeline, margins and market trends, and provide strategic reports and recommendations to senior management.

· Establish and maintain sales and marketing systems, policies and processes for the Australian operation.

Skills and experience

· A relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification, or at least five years of relevant experience in sales and marketing management.

· Demonstrated experience developing and implementing international or multi-market sales and marketing strategies.

· Strong experience in market expansion, key-account strategy, commercial planning, forecasting and performance management.

· Experience in the furniture, interiors, homewares or a closely related design-led consumer-products industry is highly regarded.

· Experience working across APAC or Oceania markets and coordinating with product development, sourcing or manufacturing teams is highly regarded.

· Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder-management skills and written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience in international business travel at a high annual frequency.

Pay: $170,000.00 per year
