Job Description
The Role
We are looking for a result orientated Sales professional with a proven history of business conversion to take the newly created role of Business Development Manager. The individual will be responsible to establish, grow and professionally develop business relationships and work with clients to unlock the full potential.
ALL about the role
Business Development and Account Management within multiple market segments focusing on increasing demand and conversion.
Implementation of personal sales call plan program with regular follow up on effectiveness, change where appropriate to respond to market business needs
Conduct Market Research to source new business
Proactively selling Accor products and services
Maintain effective communication with the Director of Sales & Marketing providing market intelligence on a regular basis and understanding of competitor strengths weaknesses and ongoing sales activities
Liaise with Accor National Sales to ensure hotels has access to key accounts and maximise any sales opportunities.
Assist in developing sales strategies across market segments and implement and monitor effectiveness of same.
Develop and maintain relationships with third party partners
Participate and represent hotel at key industry / trade events that will ensure an appropriate return on investment.
Have a complete understanding of the Hotel’s sales vision, its products, services, and rate structure to fulfil business objectives.
Maintain existing customer base to ensure their business is retained by building and developing relationships.
Ensure penetration of existing accounts to establish greater awareness of hotel and group products/series to maximise sales opportunities.
Qualifications

The successful applicant should possess strong business relationships, influencing ability and strategic thinker – with the ability to develop strategic sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time. Strong presentation, commercial and communication skills are must.
This position will allow you to work with a high degree of autonomy on your day to day schedule, whilst also enjoying the support of a strong team network.
In addition:
You will have a genuine passion and motivation for the hospitality industry.
Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and buy in from both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with a variety of market segments including corporate and government.

Parental Leave
As staff member, you will receive 10 weeks paid parental leave at full salary for primary carer in addition to government-funded parental leave. Part-time and casual equivalent available on a pro-rata basis. In addition, Continuation of superannuation payments while on paid parental leave will remain.
