About Cellar Club

Cellar Club is a verified membership app for people working in hospitality across Sydney and NSW. We connect frontline staff, managers, operations teams, suppliers and brand owners through a news feed, jobs board and venue offers, all unlocked through industry verification. We are growing fast, and we’re looking for a driven, well connected person to help us reach even more of the industry.

The Role

As our Business Development Representative, you’ll be the face of Cellar Club out in the field, visiting venues across Sydney to introduce the app to hospitality staff and bring venues on board as partners. It’s a part time, flexible role suited to someone who knows the hospitality scene and enjoys being out and about meeting people.

Key Responsibilities

Visit venues across Sydney, including during quieter mid shift periods, to introduce Cellar Club to staff and management
Drive app downloads and member verification among bartenders, waitstaff and venue teams
Build relationships with venue managers and owners to bring them on board as Cellar Club partners
Pitch venues on posting job vacancies through the Cellar Club jobs board
Introduce venues to our offers programme as a way to reward their own teams
Identify and prioritise venues and precincts with strong growth potential
Track and report on downloads, verifications and venue sign ups against agreed targets
Represent Cellar Club at industry events and within relevant hospitality networks

What We’re Looking For:

A genuine interest in or connection to the Sydney hospitality industry, current or past venue experience is a real advantage
Highly personable and confident, comfortable approaching new people and building rapport quickly
Strong communication skills, able to pitch to both frontline staff and management
Self motivated and target driven, with the ability to manage your own schedule
Creative and adaptable, happy to problem solve and adjust your approach on the go
Comfortable travelling around Sydney to visit venues
A great fit for a student or someone balancing other work, looking for flexible hours and the chance to build a network across the industry

Hours and Pay

20 to 25 hours per week, flexible around your other commitments
Base pay plus bonus for hitting agreed targets
