We are seeking an experienced retail leader who is passionate about customer service and thrives in a hands-on environment to join us as Front End Manager / Customer Service Manager, leading our front-end team and ensuring smooth, professional store operations during busy trading periods in one of Perth’s most affluent communities. This full-time role offers long-term job security, a competitive hourly rate with payment for every hour worked (no time-in-lieu), and flexible working options that balance leadership with operational duties.

About the Role

As our Customer Service Manager, you'll lead the front-end team to deliver outstanding customer experiences every day. During your evening shifts, you'll transition into the Duty Manager role, taking responsibility for the overall operation of the store, supporting all departments and ensuring our high standards are maintained through to close.

This is a leadership position suited to someone who enjoys coaching people, solving problems, making decisions and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the customer service and front-end team.
Create an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.
Recruit, train and develop team members.
Manage rostering, performance and team engagement.
Oversee cash handling, service desk operations and front-end procedures.
Act as Duty Manager, taking responsibility for the entire store during busy periods.
Coordinate with department managers to ensure excellent presentation, availability and service.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety and company procedures.
Maintain high standards of merchandising, cleanliness and store presentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, previous leadership experience in a supermarket is essential. You will be a confident people leader who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high operational standards.

You'll also have:

Proven experience in supermarket retail management.
Previous Duty Manager or equivalent leadership experience.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Strong leadership and people management ability.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Confidence making decisions and managing store operations independently.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A hands-on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Flexibility to work other than 9-5.
