WA Industrial Cylinder Engineers is a privately owned industry leader specialising in the manufacture, overhaul, and repair of hydraulic cylinders for heavy mining mobile equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Hydraulic Cylinder Fitter to join our Afternoon Shift team at our modern, well-equipped Perth workshop.

About You

You are a motivated tradesperson who values quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. You will have:

Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience in hydraulic cylinder repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related mechanical trade
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
Experience working within quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience desirable)
Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude with a commitment to workplace safety

Experience within the hydraulic cylinder overhaul industry is highly regarded; however, training will be provided to the right candidate with the appropriate trade background.

Key Responsibilities

Strip, inspect, assess and rebuild hydraulic cylinders for heavy mining equipment
Measure and inspect components to determine serviceability
Assemble hydraulic cylinders to engineering specifications and quality standards
Pressure test completed hydraulic cylinders prior to dispatch
Identify and report damaged or non-conforming components
Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation
Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and customer deadlines

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid Australian work visa.

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
