Freelance E-Commerce Marketing Specialist – Hair & Beauty

Tavella Hair | Sydney / Macarthur Area | Freelance | Flexible / Work From Home

About Tavella Hair

Tavella Hair is a new Australian professional hair extension brand based in the Macarthur/South-West Sydney area.

We are currently preparing to launch our online store and are looking for an experienced Freelance E-Commerce Marketing Specialist to work closely with us through the pre-launch, launch and growth stages of the brand.

We are looking for someone who understands e-commerce and how to turn online traffic into sales, rather than someone who focuses solely on social media management.

Experience within the hair, beauty, cosmetics or fashion industry is highly preferred.

About the Role

You will work directly with the founder to help develop and implement the e-commerce and digital marketing strategy for Tavella Hair.

As we are still in the process of building our website and preparing for launch, we would love someone who can come on board early and provide guidance on both the website/e-commerce setup and marketing strategy.

This is a freelance position with flexible hours and the ability to work predominantly from home. Sydney/Macarthur-based applicants are preferred so we have the option to meet in person when required.

E-Commerce & Marketing Responsibilities

Develop a pre-launch, launch and ongoing e-commerce growth strategy
Set up, manage and optimise Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
Assist with Google Ads and Google Shopping
Develop campaigns focused on generating online sales
Help establish customer acquisition and retargeting strategies
Set up and manage email marketing and automated customer flows
Develop abandoned cart and customer retention strategies
Assist with launch offers, promotions and product bundles
Develop marketing strategies for both retail customers and professional hairdressers/salons
Analyse advertising performance, ROAS, CPA and conversion rates
Provide regular reporting and recommendations
Work with our existing photo and video content to develop effective advertising campaigns

Website Support

Our e-commerce website is currently being built, so we may also require assistance and guidance during the website setup process.

Experience with Shopify is highly regarded.

This may include helping with:

Website structure and navigation
Product and collection pages
Product descriptions and positioning
Conversion optimisation
Customer journey and checkout flow
Promotional and bundle setup
Email capture
Abandoned cart setup
Meta Pixel and tracking
Google integrations
Email marketing integrations
Ensuring the website is properly set up and ready for marketing before launch

We are not necessarily looking for a full website designer/developer, but we would love someone who understands what a high-converting e-commerce website needs before paid advertising begins.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience working with e-commerce brands
Strong Meta Ads experience
Shopify experience
Understanding of Google Ads and Google Shopping
Experience with email marketing platforms is highly regarded
Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retargeting and conversion optimisation
Ability to analyse marketing data and make informed decisions
Experience launching or growing an online product-based brand
Ability to provide examples of previous e-commerce results

Hair, beauty or cosmetics experience is highly preferred.

Experience specifically within the hair extension industry would be a major advantage.

Important

This is not a full-time employee position and is not primarily a social media management role.

We are specifically looking for a freelancer/independent e-commerce marketing specialist who can help us build the foundations of the brand, successfully launch our online store and continue working with us as the business grows.

We are open to discussing hourly rates, project-based pricing or an ongoing monthly retainer depending on experience and the services provided.
