THE SHORT VERSION
We're a cinematic video production company. Multi Golden Guitar winners, 1,000+ music videos, and a fast-growing commercial arm working with construction and heavy industry clients whose content gets reposted by companies like Caterpillar.
We shoot at a level most agencies can't touch. We need someone to turn that footage library into daily output across client accounts and our own channels.
This is an editor role first, a social media role second. If your portfolio is Canva tiles, this isn't for you. If you can take cinematic 4K footage and cut a scroll-stopping 30 seconds for LinkedIn, keep reading.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
- Cut short-form content (Reels, LinkedIn video, Shorts) from our existing footage libraries in Premiere Pro
- Write captions in two completely different voices: B2B heavy civil for a LinkedIn audience, and B2C home improvement for Facebook and Instagram. Same person, two brains. This is the hard part of the job
- Build and run the monthly content calendars for two client accounts plus our own channels
- Schedule, publish, and handle community management (comments and DMs)
- Pull simple monthly performance reports so clients see the numbers
- Work to our creative direction and QC process. The director signs off before anything goes live (This will phase out over time)
WHAT YOU NEED
- Genuine Premiere Pro editing ability. You will need to show quality examples.
- A portfolio of short-form content you personally cut and captioned. Show us the numbers if you have them
- Strong written English and the ability to switch tone between brands without being told twice
- Fluency with scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Metricool, native schedulers, we don't care which)
- Self-management. Three days a week means you run your own workload
NICE TO HAVE, AND IT MATTERS HERE
- Camera operation ability. This role grows into paid shoot days and production work as the business scales, and we'd rather grow you than hire around you
- After Effects or basic motion graphics
- Experience with construction, trades, or industrial clients
WHO THIS SUITS
We hire for attitude above a hard skills floor. The floor: you can genuinely edit and you have an eye. Above that, we're choosing the person who ships on deadline instead of polishing forever, fixes problems nobody assigned them, takes direction without sulking, and manages their own week without being chased. If that's you and your reel is thinner than you'd like, apply anyway and let the edit test speak.
THE DETAILS
- 3 days per week, permanent part-time, days negotiable
- Macarthur-based. One in-person day per week for planning, review, and footage handover, remainder remote. You'll need your own edit-capable machine for the remote days
- Pay negotiable based on editing ability. Good editors are worth paying for and we will
- Room to grow: the commercial side of this business is scaling and this role scales with it
HOW TO APPLY
Send three things:
1. Three pieces of short-form content you edited yourself, with one line each on what it was for
2. Two sample captions for the same fictional post: one written for a civil construction company on LinkedIn, one for a home improvement brand on Instagram. Use AI to iterate ideas but if we can tell it's from ChatGPT or Claude, it'll be a no from us.
3. A short note on why this role.
Applications without the caption samples won't be read.
