Primary objective
Provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the Screening Assessment for Employment Northern Territory
(SAFE NT) Assessment Team, including the management of sensitive information and coordination of police information sharing,
within legislative, policy and intergovernmental frameworks.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide administrative and operational support to Assessment Officers, including preparing case documentation, coordinating

information requests and maintaining assessment records.
2. Provide a high quality first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, managing sensitive and complex matters with

professionalism, discretion and sound judgement.
3. Support and maintain efficient information workflows and information integrity to maintain registers, systems and records

management standards for highly sensitive case management files.
4. Coordinate and process requests for the release of police information to interstate jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with

relevant legislation, policy, intergovernmental agreements and established service standards.
5. Coordinate invoicing processes and monitor financial transactions associated with information release services to ensure

compliance with agency financial procedures
6. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of administrative

processes, procedures and guidance materials to support efficient service delivery.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven well-developed customer service skills, including experience managing enquiries in a sensitive, confidential or

regulatory environment and engaging effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
2. Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using databases, case management

or records management systems to accurately manage information and maintain data integrity.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly sensitive, confidential and regulatory environment, applying sound

judgement, integrity and discretion in the handling of information.
4. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a high-volume environment, including the ability

to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
5. Well-developed organisational, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with

a range of stakeholders while managing changing priorities.
6. Demonstrated experience maintaining accurate records and administrative processes, with an understanding of compliance

requirements and the importance of accuracy, accountability and auditability

Desirable
1. Knowledge and experience in the use of NT Government databases including SerPro, Integrated Justice Information System

(IJIS) and Content Manager (TRM).
