To support our expanding team of specialised consultants and a strong pipeline of upcoming corporate projects, we are seeking an experienced Human Resource Adviser to provide professional advice on workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, employment compliance and organisational development initiatives. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting management to achieve strategic workforce objectives while ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation and best-practice human resource management principles.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Providing advice and guidance to management on human resource policies, procedures, workforce planning strategies, employee relations matters and organisational development initiatives.
Coordinating recruitment and selection activities, including preparing job advertisements, screening applications, conducting interviews and recommending suitable candidates for employment.
Managing employee onboarding and induction processes to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the organisation and understand company policies, procedures and performance expectations.
Maintaining accurate personnel records and human resource information systems (HRIS), ensuring compliance with privacy obligations, employment legislation and organisational requirements.
Assisting management with workforce planning, succession planning and resource allocation strategies to support business growth and project delivery requirements.
Advising management on employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, modern awards, workplace policies, performance management processes and employee relations matters.
Coordinating performance review processes and providing guidance on employee development, performance improvement plans, disciplinary matters and workplace grievance resolution.
Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments relating to employment law, workplace health and safety, and human resource management to ensure ongoing organisational compliance.
Assisting in the development, implementation and review of human resource policies, procedures and workplace initiatives to promote best-practice people management.
Preparing employment contracts, remuneration recommendations and workforce documentation, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Developing and implementing employee engagement, retention and workplace culture initiatives designed to improve employee satisfaction, productivity and organisational performance.
Preparing HR reports, workforce analytics and management recommendations to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria

Bachelor or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a closely related field.
Minimum one (1) year of relevant professional experience as a Human Resource Adviser, Human Resources Officer, Human Resources Consultant or similar role.
Demonstrated knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, modern awards, employee relations and workforce planning principles.
Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and employee engagement initiatives.
Strong proficiency in human resource information systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
