Responsibilities:

Prepare and present high-quality food while maintaining consistency and kitchen standards.
Take responsibility for a designated kitchen section, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Organise food production in line with production lists, function requirements and service demands.
Support a collaborative team environment by guiding and assisting junior chefs where required.
Work across various kitchen sections to meet business needs and operational demands.
Maintain strict compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and Workplace Health & Safety standards.
Monitor food quality, minimise waste and contribute to effective cost control practices.
Assist with stock management, food ordering and monitoring the quality of goods received.
Contribute creative menu ideas and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Build positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Ideally you will have:

A Certificate III and/or IV in Commercial Cookery.
Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment, including à la carte and banquet operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP requirements and kitchen best practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, team-focused attitude and a passion for delivering quality food and guest satisfaction.
