Full Job Description

Pacific Hotel Cairns

Pacific Hotel Cairns is looking for an experienced and highly organised Front Office Reservations Agent to join our friendly team.

This is a Monday-to-Friday position, ideal for someone with strong hotel reservations experience, excellent attention to detail and a professional approach to guest communication.

Key Responsibilities

Entering and managing reservations accurately in Opera Cloud
Processing booking amendments, cancellations and special requests
Sending booking confirmations and relevant guest information
Responding promptly and professionally to guest enquiries by email and telephone
Managing reservations received through online travel agents, travel agents and other booking channels
Checking booking details, rates, packages and payment information
Communicating important reservation information to Front Office and other hotel departments
Maintaining accurate guest profiles and reservation notes
Assisting with general Front Office and reservations administration

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

A minimum of three years’ experience in hotel Front Office and/or Reservations
Experience using Opera Cloud
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office programs
Strong knowledge of online travel agents, travel agents and hotel booking channels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Confidence entering reservations, sending confirmations and responding to guest questions
The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively
A friendly, professional and guest-focused attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
