About Triple Zero Victoria

Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

This integration of emergency services communications within Triple Zero Victoria is unique in Australia and rare worldwide. The team at Triple Zero Victoria are deeply committed to the community they serve and are among the most dedicated and highly skilled in their field.

About the Role

The Advisor, Workplace Relations is a key member of the Workplace Relations team and an active contributor to the People and Culture function. The role is responsible for providing high-quality industrial and employee relations advice and support to key stakeholders, positively influencing people management capability and organisational outcomes.

Working closely with the Manager, Workplace Relations, the role supports the delivery of strategic outcomes and the Workplace Relations Plan. Operating within a centralised service model, the Advisor provides workplace relations support and expertise across all TZV sites.

Day to day responsibilities include:

Partner with leaders to provide trusted workplace relations advice, ensuring compliant and effective people management decisions.
Collaborate with the Workplace Relations team and business stakeholders to manage and resolve a diverse range of workplace matters, including employee concerns, grievances, disputes and union-related issues, with a focus on early intervention.
Support strategic workplace relations initiatives, including enterprise bargaining, organisational change and Fair Work matters, through high-quality documentation and stakeholder engagement.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of workplace relations policies and frameworks, ensuring compliance while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Build and maintain strong, trusted and influential partnerships across the organisation, working collaboratively with stakeholders to foster positive employment relationships, strengthen workplace capability and support organisational objectives.

About You

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in workplace relations, employee relations or human resources within a unionised environment, and a sound working knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial instruments and workplace relations frameworks.

They will also demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

Demonstrated experience in a workplace relations/human resources background with proficient knowledge and interpretation of employment legislation and enterprise agreements.
Working knowledge of industrial law, state and federal employment legislation, workplace policies, and experience in the interpretation and application of these.
Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and provide technical advice on employment matters.
Ability to perform with competing deadlines, respond quickly to urgent/important requests and achieve effective results within given and at times tight time frames. Strong and structured approached to case management, tracking, and reporting.
A high level of oral/written communication skills, strong technology skills and digital literacy.
Tertiary qualifications in workplace relations/employment law, human resources
