Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.
Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

About The Role
Reporting to the Underground Superintendent, the Underground Foreman is responsible for leading safe, compliant and efficient underground operations. The role is accountable for ensuring systems are followed, the operation is prepared, and outcomes are delivered in line with the mine plan.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Oversee safe, compliant and high-quality operations by:
· managing hazards, risk audits and continuous improvement;
· coordinate people, equipment and activities to deliver outcomes against the mine plan;
· lead, develop and hold teams accountable while fostering a strong culture;
· Have clear visibility of budgets, costs and resources to ensure operational and financial performance.
About You
You are a highly capable underground leader who thrives on accountability, safety and operational excellence. You are hands-on, organised and confident coordinating people, equipment and priorities to deliver results.
You will bring the ability to:
Demonstrated leadership experience in an underground (preferred) metalliferous mining environment, with the ability to:
· Lead production and development crews
· Coordinate resources and activities to deliver mine plans
· Ensure safe compliant and high-quality operations
· Effectively identify and resolve operational issues while driving accountability and performance
· Coach and develop teams
· Build strong working relationships and a high-performance culture
· Lead change and continuous improvement, making sure new processes are understood and embedded
