This is a unique 12-month temporary opportunity to play a pivotal role in embedding a newly established portfolio management framework and helping shape the future of portfolio, project and change management at the Queensland Ambulance Service.
As a key member of the Portfolio Management Office you will lead the development of practical guidance and resources, coordinate a community of practice, provide expert advice and deliver portfolio level assurance for a suite of strategically important initiatives.

Basis for selection:
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing and overseeing a portfolio of work, including understanding the legislative and policy framework, governance and compliance requirements within the public sector.
Proven success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to portfolio management.
Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the ability to foster and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
High level knowledge and application of portfolio, program, project and/or change management frameworks and methodologies.
Demonstrated capabilities and experience in implementing organisational change and service system reform in a complex operational environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Whilst not mandatory, tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in a portfolio, project, change management or related discipline, or experience in a Portfolio Management Office will be highly regarded.
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
