FULL TIME COOK — BUCKETTY'S BREWING CO & CHALKY'S | BROOKVALE

We are looking for 2 Cooks to join our team!

We're two of the Northern Beaches' most-loved venues, and we're on the lookout for two Full Time Cooks to join the team across both Bucketty's Brewing Co and Chalky's.

If you love a cracking atmosphere, craft beer, live music and good food — you're already halfway there.

About the venues Bucketty's is Brookvale's award-winning craft brewery and taproom — all good vibes, fresh beers, live bands and a community that keeps coming back. We serve elevated pub food in our casual and vibrant indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Just down the road, Chalky's is our newer adult fun-house: pool tables, karaoke, a mega sports screen, cocktails and a commercial kitchen serving a South American inspired menu from our Michelin-trained Head Chef. Along with our main menu, we have a functions menu for events and host our own degustation nights to give our kitchen team the chance to flex their creative muscles and tap into our Head Chef’s fine dining experience.

The role You'll be predominantly working from our Kitchen at Chalky’s but will need to be flexible to work across both venues as needed. You'll be jumping into a fast-paced, fun environment where the energy is always high and the crowd is always keen. The role will be working mainly evenings and weekends with some midweek daytime hours as well.

Details of the role

Preparing meals from raw ingredients, cooking and plating ever-changing dishes across both Venues (pub-style eats at Bucketty's, South American-inspired kitchen at Chalky's)
Altering menu items to accommodate food intolerances and allergies
Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef create and execute event menus for degustation nights
Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines to a high standard including personal hygiene, cleanliness of the kitchen and temperature checks.
Receiving and checking quality of deliveries of fresh ingredients
Putting away deliveries of fresh food in accordance with food safety protocols
Supporting the Head Chef with supervising and training of junior staff when needed

Expected experience / skills

Diploma of Hospitality and Cert IV Kitchen Management or equivalent cookery qualification desired
Food handler certificate, required
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred not required)
At least 1 year experience
Someone who can hold their own on a busy service
A team player with a positive attitude — we're all about good people here
Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of standard work hours.
