Your Opportunity

Join The Benevolent Society as a People & Culture Coordinator specialising in Systems & Process Improvement, where you'll combine your passion for people with your expertise in systems, data and continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality People & Culture services across the employee lifecycle while helping us improve the way we work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operational HR and thrives on streamlining processes, enhancing systems and driving efficiencies that improve the experience of employees, leaders and candidates.

Working as part of a collaborative People & Culture team, you'll contribute to system enhancements, process redesign initiatives and ongoing improvements that support organisational effectiveness and service excellence.

How You Will Contribute

You will provide end-to-end coordination and support across a range of People & Culture activities, including:

Coordinating employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employment changes, benefits administration, recognition and offboarding.
Supporting compliance and employment screening requirements to ensure organisational and legislative obligations are met.
Responding to employee and leader enquiries through the HR Helpdesk and other communication channels.
Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity across HR systems and platforms.
Supporting workforce reporting, data requests and people metrics.
Delivering a positive and consistent employee experience through timely, professional and customer-focused service.

In addition, you will lead and contribute to systems and process improvement initiatives by:

Identifying opportunities to improve People & Culture processes, workflows and service delivery.
Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of HR systems, tools and technology solutions.
Assisting with system enhancements, testing, upgrades and user adoption activities.
Mapping, reviewing and documenting processes to improve efficiency, compliance and user experience.
Using data and insights to identify trends, opportunities and recommendations for improvement.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Experience in a People & Culture, Human Resources, HR Operations or Coordinator role.
Demonstrated experience managing employee lifecycle processes and HR administration activities.
Strong experience working with HRIS, ATS and other people systems.
Proven ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, compliance and quality outcomes.
Experience preparing reports, analysing data and maintaining system integrity.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
A collaborative, customer-focused approach and commitment to providing exceptional service.
A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working.

Desirable:

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Experience supporting HR system implementations, upgrades or integration projects.
Knowledge of process mapping, workflow improvement or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience working within a shared services, centralised HR or large multi-site environment
