Introduction:
The People & Culture Coordinator (P&C) will provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support across the employee lifecycle for the V&W People & Culture team.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this is a hands-on role for an organised, detail-focused professional who enjoys variety, thrives on process and wants to build broad generalist HR experience within a fast-paced retail environment.
Important to note this is a Full Time fixed term, 8 month contract.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Viktoria & Woods, one of Australia’s premium designer fashion brands, is looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture team during an exciting growth phase. This is a great opportunity for a proactive HR professional to build broad generalist experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and HR administration.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will be the day-to-day point of contact for HR administration and coordination — working closely with other business teams to ensure a smooth, consistent employee experience from onboarding through to offboarding.
What success looks like:
Within the first three months, you will have a solid understanding of our HR systems, policies and processes, and be confidently managing new starter onboarding and routine employee enquiries. Within twelve months, you will be a trusted member of the People & Culture team, driving process improvements, supporting recruitment activity end-to-end, and contributing to a positive, well-organised employee experience across the business.
The role will encompass:
Employee Lifecycle & Onboarding
Coordinate the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes and offboarding
Coordinate new starter induction, onboarding activities and new starter administration
Maintain accurate employee records and the HRIS, ensuring compliance with company policies and Australian employment legislation
Recruitment Support
Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes and scheduling interviews
Provide general recruitment and People & Culture administrative support
HR Administration & Payroll
Support payroll by preparing and submitting employee data, leave records and employment changes
Manage the HR inbox, responding to routine policy and process enquiries, and respond to employee questions regarding leave, benefits and HR procedures
Prepare HR reports, metrics and correspondence for management, and maintain confidential personnel records
Assist with other ad hoc People & Culture administration duties as required
Culture, Safety & Compliance
Liaise between business team on day-to-day basic HR operational matters
Assist with performance review cycles, employee engagement initiatives and training coordination
Support the development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant workplace laws and regulations
Support workplace health and safety activities and assist in monitoring WHS compliance
Assist with coordination of employee social initiatives and organisational culture programs
Skills and Experiences:

Organised and detail-oriented, with strong administrative skills
Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information
A clear communicator who builds rapport easily across all levels of the business
Motivated by process improvement and getting things right the first time
YOU WILL BRING:
Non-Negotiables
Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources (or working towards)
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an HR administration or coordination role
Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and the Fair Work Act
Experience using an HRIS and confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
High level of discretion, integrity and professionalism
