Qualified Marine Mechanic / Tradesman

An exciting opportunity exists for a Qualified Marine Mechanic / Tradesman with a minimum of five years' experience (preferred) to join the growing team at JD's Boatshed.

Duties & Responsibilities

General workshop and showroom duties
Diagnose engine faults and complete repairs
Engine repowers
Repairs and servicing of engines, boats and trailers
Boat detailing, including high-pressure cleaning and polishing
Application of antifouling systems and coatings (including Propspeed)
Assist with boat pick-up and delivery throughout Sydney
Collection of parts and workshop supplies

About You

Full Australian Driver's Licence
Qualified Marine Mechanic (minimum five years' experience preferred)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work occasional Saturdays (preferred but flexible)
Experience with MerCruiser sterndrive engines is highly regarded but not essential
Experience working on Malibu and Axis boats would be highly regarded

JD's Boatshed has been a family-owned and operated boat dealership and service centre since 2004. Based in Kirrawee, we proudly provide boat sales, servicing and maintenance to customers across Sydney and the Sutherland Shire.

We are the authorised NSW dealer for Cobalt Boats and Barletta Pontoon Boats, a fully certified Mercury & MerCruiser Service Centre, and an Authorised Service Agent for Malibu and Axis Boats. Our experienced team services sterndrives, outboards and a wide range of marine engines, delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
