The Senior Talent & Partnerships Manager is responsible for the day-to-day commercialisation and marketing of Always Human’s athlete and creator roster, while leading and developing the internal Talent & Partnerships team.
This role is designed to own significant commercial and operational ownership, acting as the
primary driver of talent strategy, commercial partnerships, negotiations, and execution, while
ensuring excellence across team performance, systems and standards.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate proven success working with high-profile talent,
inclusive of but not limited to, delivering on a strategic plan to further strengthen a talent’s profile and brand; identifying, pitching and negotiating commercial opportunities and blue chip partnerships; ideation and development of talent-owned brands, products and content projects; and the creation of best-in-class talent profile presentations and assets.
This role will report directly into the CEO of Always Human.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
● Lead the Talent & Partnerships team day-to-day, providing strong leadership and setting
clear direction, priorities and standards
● Directly manage and develop team members, including performance management,
mentoring and career progression
● Run weekly WIP meetings and quarterly planning sessions for the division
● Act as a senior leader within the business, collaborating closely with the Brand side or
the agency
● Escalate/work with the CEO on major strategic, reputational and high-value commercial
decisions
Talent Strategy & Commercial Ownership
● Own the commercial strategy and roadmap for our athletes and creators, ensuring
long-term value creation
● Develop and execute best-in-class talent marketing and commercialisation strategies,
including partnerships, IP, equity, publishing, content and licensing
● Act as a senior commercial advisor to talent on brand, business and revenue decisions
● Ensure talent strategies align with Always Human’s broader commercial and cultural
positioning
Commercial Partnerships & Negotiation
● Identify, pitch and secure high-value partnerships with brands and organisations
● Lead commercial negotiations and fee setting within agreed parameters
● Oversee the creation and presentation of talent pitch decks and commercial assets
● Drive measurable revenue targets for both talent and the agency
Contracts, Equity & IP
● Lead contract negotiations and oversee drafting and review of talent agreements
● Ensure contracts protect talent interests while aligning with commercial objectives
● Drive the development of talent-owned brands, equity positions and licensing
opportunities (where appropriate)
● Identify and structure IP, royalty and co-ownership opportunities (where appropriate)
Talent Relationship & Reputation Management
● Serve as the senior day-to-day point of contact for talent (with the CEO)
● Provide trusted counsel on commercial, reputational and media matters
● Lead crisis management and issue resolution when required
● Oversee the high-quality delivery and fulfilment of all talent commitments
● Be available to respond to routine talent and client communication outside of typical
service hours
Media, Content & Assets (Oversight)
● Identify strategic media and profile-building opportunities for talent
● Oversee content strategy, quality and output across talent platforms
● Ensure systems are in place for asset management, content calendars and media
tracking
Financial & Commercial Reporting
● Set and manage revenue targets for talent and the division
● Work closely with finance to oversee budgeting, forecasting and reporting
● Maintain visibility of talent P&Ls and commercial performance
Market Insights & Trends
● Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging platforms, and market opportunities to keep
talent at the forefront
Key Qualifications
Essential
● 7+ years’ experience in talent management, partnerships or brand marketing
● Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams, including performance
management and development of junior and mid-level staff
● Proven success negotiating high-value commercial partnerships
● Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation capability
● Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills
Preferred
● Experience working with elite athletes, creators or global brands
● Strong understanding of the creator economy, digital platforms and IP monetisation
● Established industry network across sport, media and brands
