Full Job Description

About the role

Gaslight Pharmacy is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team in Rose Bay, NSW.

This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring stock is accurately managed, efficiently replenished and readily available to support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.

We are looking for someone with strong stock and inventory management skills. Previous experience working in a community pharmacy environment is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

Managing and maintaining accurate stock and inventory levels
Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers and wholesalers
Receiving, checking and processing incoming deliveries
Monitoring stock movement and investigating discrepancies
Managing stock transfers, credits and returns
Monitoring short-dated and expired stock
Conducting regular stocktakes and cycle counts
Ensuring appropriate stock rotation and replenishment
Following up outstanding orders and supplier issues
Maintaining accurate stock records within the pharmacy system
Working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and management
Identifying opportunities to improve inventory processes and minimise stock loss

What we're looking for

Previous experience in stock control, inventory management or a similar role
Previous community pharmacy experience is highly regarded
Experience with pharmacy stock management systems is desirable
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Ability to identify and investigate stock discrepancies
Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers and team members
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach
