About the role
Gaslight Pharmacy is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team in Rose Bay, NSW.
This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring stock is accurately managed, efficiently replenished and readily available to support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
We are looking for someone with strong stock and inventory management skills. Previous experience working in a community pharmacy environment is highly regarded.
Key responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining accurate stock and inventory levels
- Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers and wholesalers
- Receiving, checking and processing incoming deliveries
- Monitoring stock movement and investigating discrepancies
- Managing stock transfers, credits and returns
- Monitoring short-dated and expired stock
- Conducting regular stocktakes and cycle counts
- Ensuring appropriate stock rotation and replenishment
- Following up outstanding orders and supplier issues
- Maintaining accurate stock records within the pharmacy system
- Working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and management
- Identifying opportunities to improve inventory processes and minimise stock loss
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management or a similar role
- Previous community pharmacy experience is highly regarded
- Experience with pharmacy stock management systems is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to identify and investigate stock discrepancies
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach
