Full Job Description

Sydney Metropolitan International College (SMIC) is looking for a ICT Cusomer Support Officer who is ready to take up the challenge and work in a friendly environment to fulfil the core duties listed below. The SMIC is an established RTO, with the aspiration to become one of the leading RTOs in Australia to offer high-quality learning and intercultural support, leading to ‘beyond job-ready graduates in the areas of critical need (see: www.smic.edu.au).

Core Duties:

Provide first-level and second-level technical support to staff and students, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain ICT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and peripheral devices.
Monitor system performance and ensure the continuous operation of IT infrastructure, identifying and resolving faults in a timely manner.
Administer and support learning management systems (Moodle) and student management systems (RTO Manager), including user access, system updates, and troubleshooting.
Assist users with Microsoft Office applications, email systems (Outlook), and cloud-based platforms, ensuring effective utilisation of ICT resources.
Maintain accurate records of support requests, system issues, and resolutions using internal tracking systems.
Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance to ensure data integrity, system security, and operational efficiency.
Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for escalation of technical issues and system upgrades.
Support the implementation of new ICT solutions, including system upgrades, integrations, and digital tools used within the organisation.
Provide guidance and basic training to staff and students on the use of ICT systems and online learning platforms.
