Lead, manage and enhance hospital security services while building a safe, responsive environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Auburn Hospital is a dynamic healthcare facility committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care within a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll join a dedicated Security Services team that plays a critical role in maintaining a secure and welcoming hospital environment.

What you'll be doing
As the Senior Security Officer, you will oversee daily security operations while leading a team to deliver professional and effective security services aligned with hospital standards.

Lead, supervise and mentor security staff to maintain high performance

Manage incidents, risks and ensure accurate reporting and compliance

Oversee security systems including CCTV, alarms and access control

Promote a safe environment through proactive risk assessment and response

Build strong relationships with staff, patients and external agencies

Essential Criteria:

License: 1A Licence as issued under the Security Industry Act 1997.

Qualification: Certificate II in Security O and Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Selection Criteria:

1. NSW Driver Licence with excellent driving record (full or provisional class C).

2. Strong communication (verbal and written) including reporting, analytical capabilities, conflict resolution and incident management skills.

3. Experience in working in customer service role particularly dealing with traffic monitoring.

4. Demonstrated ability to undertake customer service/public relations role and managing difficult situations.

5. Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn current and emerging security and IT systems.

6. Demonstrated ability or significant experience in managing a team to meet the organisational deliverables.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills.
