Where you'll be working
You will able to work across the following District Hospitals and Community Healthcare Centres: Brookvale Community Health Centre, Hornsby Kuringgai Hospital, Macquarie Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital & Ryde Hospital.
What you'll be doing
Identify and report defects, safety hazards or damage to buildings, grounds and equipment and report to the appropriate authority such as Engineering manager, Security Manager or Supervisor. Conduct internal and external patrols of the site as required.
Provide assistance with cash, drug and staff escorts as required.
Operate security equipment such as CCTV, Intruder and Duress alarms and Access Control systems including Security Identification cards.
Exercising duties in accordance with Security legislation in regard to providing Security or the apprehension of absconding patients, participating in restraint whilst doing so under instruction from Clinical professionals.
Comply with authorised written and verbal instructions, policy and procedures, Values and Behavioural Charters and the NSW Health Code of Conduct and other security related duties as directed by the Security Supervisor, Security Manager and Corporate Service Managers.
Participate in training as required by NSW Health and ensure required competencies are current.
Be a member of the Internal Response Team and respond to emergency codes within the hospital.
Maintain parking and smoking control and issue infringements as required.
