Are you looking for an opportunity to play a vital role in supporting patient care? Join the Surgical Division at Nepean Hospital as a Clinical Support Officer and become an integral member of a collaborative healthcare team.

Working within a ward/unit environment, you will provide timely and accurate administrative and transactional support to Nurses, Midwives, Medical and Allied Health staff. You will also work closely with ward clerks, communication officers and other team members to support the smooth day-to-day operation of designated wards/units. While working under broad supervision and established procedures, you will have the opportunity to exercise initiative and take independent action when required.

What you will bring to the role

Hold or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent while working as a Clinical Support
Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
