Make a Statewide Impact on Biosecurity Governance
As the Manager of Biosecurity Governance and Regulation, you will lead the team responsible for developing, implementing and improving the regulatory governance frameworks that support effective biosecurity outcomes across Western Australia and nationally.
This leadership role oversees both high‑level policy and governance functions, as well as the operational delivery of regulatory activities including advising on, assessing and processing applications and coordinating specialist regulatory advice.
A key responsibility is ensuring all activities are procedurally sound, well‑documented and underpinned by strong governance, enabling consistent, transparent and defensible decision‑making.
You will drive the development of regulatory and governance policies and procedures for biosecurity and related areas, including for activities under the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act, and lead related business improvement projects that impact across directorates.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will provide high-level advice on complex and emerging biosecurity issues, strengthen compliance and risk management frameworks, and ensure the department remains well positioned to respond to current and future biosecurity challenges.

Proven success leading strategic initiatives, policy development or regulatory reform in complex environments.
