As the Maintenance Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the planning and execution of maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability, minimise downtime and ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently.
Working closely with operational teams across multiple sites, you'll drive continuous improvement while providing leadership, guidance and technical support to the maintenance function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and management of preventative and scheduled maintenance programs
- Driving initiatives that minimise unplanned downtime and maximise fleet utilisation
- Coordinating maintenance activities to ensure servicing is completed safely and on schedule
- Managing maintenance information within PRONTO, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are supported by appropriate work orders
- Monitoring maintenance reporting and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards across the workshop and broader workplace
- Building strong relationships with operational teams across multiple remote mining sites
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across maintenance planning and asset management
You're a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and enjoys building efficient maintenance systems while supporting your team to succeed.
You'll bring:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Maintenance Planning, Supervisory or Maintenance Management role
- Strong understanding of maintenance systems, mobile plant and mining equipment
- Sound knowledge of mining and road transport regulations
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ideally PRONTO
- High-level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational ability with experience managing competing priorities across multiple sites
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks, implement improvements and drive operational performance
- Mechanical Trade Qualification with Mobile Plant experience
- Trade qualification in Heavy Mobile Plant, Road Transport or a related mechanical discipline
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current residence in Perth, WA
- Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to successfully complete a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Screening
