About the role
Edge Fresh is seeking an experienced Retail Manager (General) to lead and manage operations at our Perth store location. This is a full-time position based in Perth WA 6000. As Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is pivotal to the success of our store and plays a crucial part in achieving the company's commercial objectives and delivering outstanding service to our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of retail staff to deliver excellent customer service and meet performance targets
- Driving sales performance through effective merchandising, promotional strategies and customer engagement
- Monitoring stock levels, coordinating deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures
- Managing budgets and controlling costs to maximise profitability
- Resolving customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Training and coaching team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Preparing reports on sales, staffing and operational metrics for senior management
- Maintaining visual merchandising standards and ensuring the store environment is clean, welcoming and well-organised
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role within a busy retail environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to maintain high service standards
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control and merchandising
- Proficiency with retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to analyse sales data and manage budgets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to retail environments
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Ideally, experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or fresh produce sector would be advantageous
- Availablility to work WEEKENDS
