Program Manager – NDIS & Support at Home

Location: Pennington (Head Office)

The Fig Trees is a growing NDIS and Support at Home registered provider delivering high-quality disability and aged care services. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the future of The Fig Trees.

About the Role

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the operational performance, continuous improvement and sustainable growth of The Fig Trees' NDIS and Support at Home programs.

Initially, the successful applicant will oversee our established NDIS program while working alongside the Operations Manager and Managing Director to establish and grow our Support at Home program. As the organisation grows, the role will transition into managing one of these programs as a dedicated Program Manager.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys leading change, developing teams, solving operational challenges and taking ownership of measurable outcomes.

The role is not limited to managing day-to-day operations. You will be expected to contribute to building a stronger organisation by improving systems, developing staff capability and supporting sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities1. Program Leadership

Lead the day-to-day management of assigned programs.
Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to Care Coordinators, Program Admin and Program Assistants.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement and teamwork.
Conduct regular supervision, probation and performance reviews.
Manage workforce planning and support recruitment activities.

2. Program Development and Continuous Improvement

Develop, implement and continuously improve operational systems and workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and client experience.
Lead operational projects and support organisational change initiatives.
Analyse operational data to identify trends and implement improvements.
Contribute to the development of organisational policies, procedures and work instructions.

3. Operational Performance

Monitor program performance against agreed KPIs.
Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with organisational standards.
Monitor service utilisation, workforce capacity and client demand.
Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and escalated client matters.
Manage program risks within delegated authority.

4. Client and Stakeholder Management

Build strong relationships with clients, families, support coordinators, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
Ensure high-quality, person-centred services are delivered.
Manage complex client situations and complaints.
Promote positive client outcomes while balancing operational sustainability.

5. Business Growth and Financial Performance

Support the growth of NDIS and Support at Home services.
Monitor program revenue, utilisation and costs.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and financial sustainability.
Contribute to workforce planning and resource allocation.
Assist with business development and service expansion initiatives.

6. Quality, Risk and Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, funding requirements and organisational policies.
Monitor documentation standards and service quality.
Support audits, investigations and quality improvement activities.
Work closely with the Quality, Clinical and Compliance Manager to manage organisational risks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

Qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Nursing, Allied Health, Business, Management or a related discipline.

Essential Requirements

Current National Police Check.
Working with Children Check.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.

Essential Experience

Demonstrated experience in a leadership, program management, service management or senior coordination role within disability, aged care, health or community services.
Experience leading and developing teams.
Experience improving systems, processes or service delivery.
Experience managing operational performance and competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Strong understanding of person-centred practice and quality service delivery.
