Kostas Takeaway is one of Sydney's fastest-growing hospitality groups — 5 venues and counting — and we're looking for a kitchen leader who wants to grow with us.

We're passionate about what we do. That means the person we hire today could be running their own Kostas kitchen tomorrow. If you lead by example, take pride in your food, and want to be part of something bigger — you'll fit right in.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You're the backbone of the kitchen. The standard rises and falls with you — and that's exactly the kind of responsibility you thrive on.

Lead and mentor your team — set the tone, build the culture, bring people up with you
Deliver food that hits the Kostas standard — consistent, quality, every single service
Own the operations — stock, ordering, inventory, and cost control within budget
Drive consistency — recipes, procedures, and quality control that never slip
Work closely with your venue manager on daily and weekly operations
Keep compliance locked in — food safety and hygiene are non-negotiable
Open and close the kitchen with the same high standard, every time

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be trusted, challenged, and what you build here will matter.

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years' kitchen experience with leadership or supervisory background
A natural leader who lifts everyone around them, not just themselves
Strong understanding of food safety, compliance, and cost control
Someone who connects the dots — you get how your kitchen drives the success of the whole venue
Sharp attention to detail and an obsession with consistency
A great communicator who stays calm and solutions-focused under pressure
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Flexible availability Monday – Sunday, 6:30am – 4:00pm
Full working rights in Australia (no student or working holiday visas)
