About this opportunity:
ICC Sydney is looking for an experienced and passionate Kitchen Logistics Supervisor to join a fast paced and high performing Kitchen team, leading the day-to-day operations and supporting the delivery of our world class events.
We are looking for a professional with a positive attitude looking to grow and develop in their career at ICC Sydney, a key contributor to the large kitchen stewarding operation.
In addition, you will:

Assisting senior supervisors to lead the Kitchen stewarding operation by instilling trust and respect within the team.

Overseeing team member management within the Kitchen Stewarding department;

Assisting the Senior Kitchen Logistics Supervisors with and rostering
-
Delivering high standard preparation for all off our events, managing staff in several sections simultaneously;
-
Lead, coordinate and deliver all arrangements related to supporting the kitchen brigade and front of house teams;
-
Provide regular feedback to all team members, both formally and informally
-
Assist in the recruitment of permanent and casual Kitchen Logistics team members.

Training, leading and inspiring the Stewarding team members;

Leading the provision of adequate and clean operating equipment to meet the daily requirements of the kitchen and outlets;

Maintaining our high standards of food quality and ISO 22000 food safety compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

Effective management and control of the Kitchen Logistics Labour cost through weekly planning of the Kitchen Logistics roster

Conduct monthly chemical stocktakes, accurately recording the amount of goods on hand
-
Administrative duties, rostering, ensuring that relevant emails are responded to, approving timecards
-
Minimise risk and exposure with relation to WH&S, reporting all incidents, assigning corrective actions and training staff
-
Manage the breakage system, investigate high damages and FFE Breakages
-
Regularly attend kitchen and Front of House meetings to ensure a smooth operation
-
Conduct daily kitchen inspections, pass this to the night cleaning team and follow up the following day
-
Reviewing procedures, implanting changes if needed, training new staff on procedures and updating the training matrix.

Operating, cleaning and general knowledge of Flight dishwashers, pot washing machines, conveyor dishwasher, under counter dishwashers.

Provide hands-on assistance to the Kitchen Logistics team when required
-
Supervise the collection of goods from the loading dock
-
Valid working rights in Australia.
