About the role:

Western Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our team as Senior Pharmacist – Education. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the growth and development of our pharmacy workforce.

This newly established role will work collaboratively with the Lead Pharmacist – Education and Research to implement and develop our pharmacy clinical educator program. This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to a new pharmacy education initiative within one of Victoria’s largest healthcare providers.

This position is fixed-term (12 months), part-time (4 days per week) and available now!

Key responsibilities:

Support driving the development and implementation of the pharmacy clinical educator program
Oversee the AdPhA Foundation Residency Program
Support the provision and delivery of education and training to pharmacy staff

About you:

Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
Demonstrated experience with the provision of pharmacy education programs or equivalent
Demonstrated project management experience
Knowledge and understanding of different learning and supervision styles, with the ability to apply these approaches when teaching staff and students with a broad range of abilities and skills
Sound knowledge of, and experience in, clinical pharmacy services
Strong collaboration, communication and time management skills
