About the role
An opportunity exists for a passionate pharmacist with advanced education and training knowledge and leadership skills to join and lead our Eastern Health Education and Training Pharmacy Team. This position is responsible for the direction, planning, provision, and review of supervisory and education programs for pharmacy students, pharmacy interns, residents, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at Eastern Health.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to:
Supervise, educate, mentor and performance manage the EH pharmacy education and training pharmacists
Takes the lead over the organisation, development and delivery of structured education programs (e.g. work experience, pharmacy students, interns, residents, post-graduate trainees) that is adaptable to the workforce and incorporates new technologies in collaboration with the site managers and Clinical Leads
Ensure that supervising pharmacists are appropriately orientated to the requirements of the programs and have the skills to provide an environment that facilitates further learning and development
Provide support and training to pharmacists to enable them to effectively supervise and mentor pharmacy students, interns and other pharmacists
Co-ordinate orientation, assessments, performance appraisal/development discussions, feedback (collated from participants, supervisors and universities), VicPlace placement (confirmation, allocation and reporting); continue to update and maintain the orientation and training programs
Contribute to medical, nursing, allied health and pharmacy education and ensure best practice education and training is provided
