Position Summary

The Management Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial performance of the business, supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving financial systems and operational reporting. Given the technology-driven nature of our operations, prior experience in accounting systems, software design, or process automation is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and executive reporting packs.
Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation obligations, payroll controls, and internal governance requirements.
Support audit processes and financial risk management.
Develop financial models to support business growth and expansion planning.
Review and improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and operational finance processes.
Partner with senior leadership to support strategic financial planning.

Essential Selection Criteria

Applicants must have:

Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
CPA Australia qualification OR equivalent overseas professional qualification such as ACCA or Chartered Accountant (CA).
Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business performance analysis.
Demonstrated experience in financial systems implementation, software design, or process automation.
Strong understanding of accounting controls and compliance requirements.
Advanced Excel and financial reporting software capability.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
