Position Summary
The Management Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial performance of the business, supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving financial systems and operational reporting. Given the technology-driven nature of our operations, prior experience in accounting systems, software design, or process automation is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and executive reporting packs.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation obligations, payroll controls, and internal governance requirements.
- Support audit processes and financial risk management.
- Develop financial models to support business growth and expansion planning.
- Review and improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and operational finance processes.
- Partner with senior leadership to support strategic financial planning.
Essential Selection Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- CPA Australia qualification OR equivalent overseas professional qualification such as ACCA or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business performance analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in financial systems implementation, software design, or process automation.
- Strong understanding of accounting controls and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting software capability.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
