Are you a skilled and compassionate receptionist looking to be part of a thriving healthcare community? Glengowrie Medical Complex is seeking an experienced Receptionist to support our growing group of independent tenant providers. In this pivotal front-line role, you will play a key part in ensuring a welcoming, professional experience for patients across a diverse range of healthcare services.

About the Glengowrie Medical Complex (GMC)

The GMC is a purpose-built healthcare hub that brings together a vibrant community of independent tenant providers, including GPs, specialists, and allied health practitioners.

Our modern, fully equipped rooms, advanced technology, and experienced nursing and administrative support enable providers to deliver exceptional patient care while managing their own practices. By fostering collaboration, professional networking, and knowledge sharing across disciplines, the GMC strengthens the local healthcare community and ensures patients benefit from coordinated, high-quality care.

We are committed to supporting the growth and success of our tenant providers while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and operational support.

Position Overview:

As an experienced Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the Glengowrie Medical Complex and its community of independent tenant providers.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Greeting patients with a warm and friendly demeanour.

· Efficiently managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations across a range of healthcare providers.

· Coordinating patient check-in and check-out procedures.

· Handling patient enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.

· Verifying patient details and processing billing and payments as required.

· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with provider requirements.

· Collaborating with a multidisciplinary community of tenant providers to support exceptional patient care.

· Assisting with administrative tasks and contributing to the overall smooth running of the complex.

Experience & Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a receptionist in a Primary Healthcare setting is required.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.

· Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.

· Proficiency in medical software and computer applications – Best Practice Software, HotDOC & Cubiko preferred.

· Knowledge of medical billing and administrative procedures.

· Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.

· Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
