Assembly and Refurbishment hand

Full-Time position - Moorebank location

Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company, we specialise in building customised, engineered vehicle solutions for a range of government and private clients including NSW Ambulance, SES, Medical services, Police to name just a few.

We are currently recruiting for an employee with a broad range of labour skills and experience to work in the Repair and Refurbishment team for our Ambulance production line.

This role will work to repair and refurbish used components to make them look brand new and fit to be reused for purpose inside Ambulance Vehicles. Assembly of new items also needed.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Repair and refurbishment of components such as cabinets, drawers, seats, lockers.
This will include tasks such as sanding back items, re-painting, gluing, replacement of bolts, screws, washers
Assembly of new components using hand and power tools (items as listed above).
Assist in day-to-day tasks as per Team Leader’s instruction, including general labouring and specific tasks to assist the team and Team Leader
Assist in the repairs and maintenance of products
You will learn how to assemble and repair a range of items

What Amtek is seeking in this role

The successful candidate will need to be motivated, reliable, and committed to work. You will work amongst a team but with your own tasks.

Experience in either or, carpentry, painting, general handy man work, repairs
An eye for detail, to ensure work is accurate and the final product is precise
Working to meet strict daily deadlines, in a fast paced environment to ensure Ambulance vehicle Production levels are maintained.
