Position: Senior Chef de Partie
Job type: Full-time (40 Hours per week)
Salary: $79,500 p/a
Location: Rhodes, NSW

Full-Time Senior Chef de Partie Wanted We are seeking a passionate and motivated full-time Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team. If you have a love for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you. To be considered for this role, applicants must have valid Australian work rights.

Qualifications & Skills:

AQF Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Proven ability to manage and run a section of the kitchen independently and efficiently.
Strong knowledge of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for high-quality food presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak brunch hours and events.
Excellent time management and communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established seasonal menus, recipes, and customer preferences.
Supervise and coordinate junior kitchen staff within your assigned section to ensure consistent food quality and efficient service.
Support the Junior Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operational tasks and smooth service delivery.
Monitor all stages of food preparation and presentation in your section to maintain high culinary standards and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting seasonal ingredients and new dish ideas.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff (commis chefs and cooks) in culinary techniques, safety procedures, and section operations.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and other appliances.
Manage inventory, prep lists, and stock levels for your section, and communicate ordering requirements to the Junior Sous Chef or Head Chef.
Maintain accurate records of food usage and wastage; assist with ordering ingredients and supplies when required.
Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale events such as weddings and corporate functions, ensuring timely and professional food service.
Collaborate with other chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations and meet customer expectations.
Uphold cleanliness and food safety standards across all areas of the kitchen.
