Full-Time Senior Chef de Partie Wanted We are seeking a passionate and motivated full-time Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team. Qualifications & Skills:
- AQF Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Proven ability to manage and run a section of the kitchen independently and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for high-quality food presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak brunch hours and events.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established seasonal menus, recipes, and customer preferences.
- Supervise and coordinate junior kitchen staff within your assigned section to ensure consistent food quality and efficient service.
- Support the Junior Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operational tasks and smooth service delivery.
- Monitor all stages of food preparation and presentation in your section to maintain high culinary standards and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting seasonal ingredients and new dish ideas.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff (commis chefs and cooks) in culinary techniques, safety procedures, and section operations.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and other appliances.
- Manage inventory, prep lists, and stock levels for your section, and communicate ordering requirements to the Junior Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Maintain accurate records of food usage and wastage; assist with ordering ingredients and supplies when required.
- Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale events such as weddings and corporate functions, ensuring timely and professional food service.
- Collaborate with other chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations and meet customer expectations.
- Uphold cleanliness and food safety standards across all areas of the kitchen.
