About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Civil & Infrastructure team delivering critical civil infrastructure works supporting Australia's Defence capability near Whyalla, South Australia.

Working closely with the Project Manager and an experienced delivery team, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of the project, providing technical leadership while managing procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost control and stakeholder engagement.

This permanent full-time role operates on a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) roster, with accommodation and applicable work-away allowances provided.

Whether you already have Defence experience or you're looking to expand into this growing sector, this role offers the opportunity to develop your leadership capability while working on complex and rewarding civil infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

Lead and support engineering and site teams throughout project delivery.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
Manage procurement, contract administration, project scheduling and cost control.
Monitor project budgets, forecasting, progress claims and variations.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained.
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel.
Prepare and review technical documentation, RFIs and project reporting.
Identify project risks and opportunities while supporting successful project delivery.

What You'll Bring

Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum five years' experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects.
Strong commercial, contract administration and project management experience.
Experience managing procurement, subcontractors and project planning.
Sound understanding of project budgets, forecasting and reporting.
Experience using project management platforms such as InEight, Aconex or Procore.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience working with project teams.
Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
National Police Clearance
