The Opportunity
Due to a number of large-scale project wins in the region, we are looking to increase our construction consultancy services team offering.
This opportunity is for someone looking to be an integral part of the construction consultancy team in Adelaide. This role will see you take on contract administration, quality assurance and compliance monitoring, reporting, as well as general project engineering responsibilities through the construction phase of projects.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Superintendent/Principal Authorised Person in the delivery of contract management services for large scale development and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders in the project including authorities, developers, clients and contractors.
- Managing handover of assets to authorities, working closely with contractors, our clients and other key stakeholders
- Maintaining detailed project registers and completing detailed reports of all matters relating to our projects including, budget, program, general project health, and risk management.
- Working alongside our surveillance officers to oversee the contractor’s compliance on the construction project, with a strong focus on the review of their quality, environmental and safety performance.
- Liaising with internal teams across a multidisciplinary office to resolve client queries and design challenges, this includes working closely with our civil engineering, integrated water and landscape architecture design teams to ensure our designs onsite to the highest quality
About You
You are a Civil Engineer or Construction Professional with proven experience delivering land development and infrastructure projects. You’re driven by a passion to expand your expertise and contribute meaningfully within the industry. You thrive in dynamic environments that offer broad responsibilities and diverse roles. As the selected candidate, you’ll work closely with our senior team across multiple disciplines, collaborating in a workplace that fosters empowerment through proactive problem-solving and informed decision-making. You’ll bring with you:
- 3-6 years experience in Civil Construction and/or Civil Consultancy
- Experience in construction administration within land development and/or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to engineering design and an understanding of the design process
- The ability to communicate effectively with our clients and contractors to achieve excellent results within a complex project environment
- A keen interest in ongoing professional development; desire to learn new skills and the drive to continue to challenge yourself
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management will be highly regarded, but not essential.
