As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key assurance role across roadway, services, stormwater, and earthworks packages within a tunnelling environment. You will act as a trusted verifier, ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with design, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carryout regular surveillance of the project works at all stages
- Complete and file records (including photographic) for every surveillance activity, and communicate any significant issue identified on site in a timely manner to Builder & Principal
- Monitoring and reporting workplace health and safety compliance and environmental impacts
- Attend Hold and Witness Points and manage outcomes
- Conducting and or attending audits on the Builder’s onsite and offsite works
- Reviewing construction documentation
- Review assigned NCR dispositions
- Undertaking Process Control Reviews (PCRs)
- Review of construction work lots and Quality Management records
- Participation in completions processes
- Review of as-built records and completions documentation
- Attending defect walks and verifying defect closure

About You
You are a highly experienced civil engineer with a strong background in construction verification, quality assurance, and infrastructure delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised Engineering qualification (Civil or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in infrastructure projects (roads, tunnelling, civil works)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Construction Verification (CV) role
- Demonstrated experience in roadway construction (essential)
- Experience working on tunnel infrastructure projects (highly regarded)
Experience in South Australia projects or regulatory environments (preferred)

- Proven ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications
- Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality outcomes
