About the Role

We are seeking caring, reliable, and passionate Aged Care Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide high quality in-home support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence support.
Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of mobility aids.
Support clients with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration.
Perform light domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe home environment.
Assist with grocery shopping and running essential errands.
Provide transport to appointments, social outings, and community activities.
Offer companionship and emotional support while encouraging social engagement.
Administer or assist with medications in accordance with company policies and qualifications.
Observe, monitor, and promptly report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Care Coordinators, allied health professionals, and family members.
Follow individual care plans and uphold all organisational policies and procedures.
Adhere to infection prevention and control practices and workplace health and safety requirements.
Maintain client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.

Essential Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Full working rights in Australia.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Compassionate, professional, and client-centred approach to care.

Desirable

Previous experience in community aged care or residential aged care.
Experience supporting clients living with dementia.
Medication competency.
Manual handling experience.
Certificate in Dementia Care, Palliative Care, or similar qualifications.
